Refund policy

SECTION 1 - OVERVIEW AND GENERAL POLICY

Tinted Trails Art Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates as a specialized, print-on-demand art retailer. This means that every single piece of artwork - whether a framed canvas or an unframed print - is custom-manufactured specifically for you at the moment your order is placed. We DO NOT maintain a warehouse of pre-printed inventory.

Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our products, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for "buyer’s remorse," change of mind, or errors in selection made by the customer. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Selecting the wrong size (e.g., ordering an 8 x 10 when a 24 x 36 was needed).
  • Selecting the wrong frame color (e.g., ordering a Black frame instead of White).
  • Misinterpreting the aesthetic or color palette as it fits within your personal decor.
  • The product arriving later than the customer hoped, provided it falls within our stated shipping windows.

By completing a purchase on our store, you acknowledge and agree that you have carefully reviewed your order details, including the size, framing option (Unframed, Thin, Thick, Black, Brown, or White), and image selection, and that you understand this No Return / No Refund policy.

SECTION 2 - CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY: SIZING AND FRAMING

It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure the dimensions of the artwork are appropriate for their intended wall space prior to purchase. We strongly recommend using a measuring tape to visualize the dimensions (ranging from 8 x 10 inches to 24 x 36 inches) in your specific environment before placing an order.

Please note that "Unframed" canvases differ significantly in thickness and appearance from "Framed" canvases. It is the customer's responsibility to select the correct variation. Tinted Trails Art Studio is not liable for customer errors in the selection process.

SECTION 3 - DAMAGES AND DEFECTS - STRICT CLAIM PROTOCOL

We take immense pride in the quality of our artwork and our packaging. However, in the rare and unfortunate event that your order arrives damaged, or if there is a clear manufacturing defect (such as a printing error), we will work with you to rectify the situation.

To protect our business from fraudulent claims, Tinted Trails Art Studio enforces a strict evidence protocol for all damage claims.

3.1 - Time Limit for Reporting

You must contact us within 72 hours (3 days) of the delivery timestamp as recorded by the shipping carrier. Claims submitted after 72 hours of delivery will be automatically denied, as we cannot verify if the damage occurred during transit or after delivery.

3.2 - Mandatory Evidence Requirements

To initiate a claim, you must contact the Studio through the Contact Form with the subject line: "DAMAGE CLAIM - Order #[Your Order Number]" as well as your first and last name, email address and phone number.

We will VERIFY that your order has been marked as DELIVERED by your assigned shipping service. Once we have reviewed your information, we will send you an email requesting additional PROOF so we can assess the validity of your claim.

Your follow-up email MUST contain a minimum of ten (10) high-quality, well-lit digital photographs or a continuous high-definition video clearly demonstrating the damage. The evidence must include:

  • Full Shot: A clear photo of the entire artwork, showing the full front view.
  • Detail Shots: At least 3-4 close-up photos clearly showing the specific area of damage or defect (e.g., dented corner, scratch on canvas, frame breakage).
  • Packaging (External): Photos of the exterior shipping box, specifically focusing on any dents, tears, or crushing of the cardboard.
  • Packaging (Internal): Photos of the internal packaging materials (bubble wrap, corner protectors).
  • Shipping Label: A clear, readable photo of the shipping label attached to the packaging.

3.3 - Assessment and Resolution

Submitting a claim does not guarantee a refund. Tinted Trails Art Studio reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether the evidence provided effectively proves that the item arrived damaged.

Insufficient Proof: If the photos are blurry, dark, insufficient in number (fewer than 10), or do not clearly show the defect, the claim will be denied immediately.

Validated Claims: If your claim is validated, we will, at our discretion, offer a replacement of the exact same item (same size, same frame) at no cost to you. Monetary refunds are only issued in exceptional circumstances where a replacement is not possible.

SECTION 4 - COLOR ACCURACY DISCLAIMER

We employ high-fidelity printing processes to ensure our artworks are reproduced faithfully. However, customers must understand that all computer, tablet, and phone screens are backlit and calibrated differently.

Screen vs. Print: The colors you see on your screen may vary slightly from the physical canvas.

Texture: Printed textures (such as watercolor paper effects) are visual reproductions on canvas and may look different in person than on a glowing screen.

Slight color variations between the digital mockup and the physical product do not constitute a "defect" and are NOT eligible for a refund or replacement.

SECTION 5 - LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Tinted Trails Art Studio is NOT responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or misdelivered after the carrier has marked them as "Delivered."

  • If your tracking number shows "Delivered" but you have not received the package, you must contact the carrier (USPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) directly to file a claim.
  • We recommend checking with neighbors and looking in hidden areas around your property.
  • We do not issue refunds or replacements for packages marked as "Delivered" by the courier.

SECTION 6 - CANCELLATIONS

Our fulfillment system is automated to ensure fast shipping. Orders are sent to our printing partners immediately.

Cancellation Window: You may request a cancellation within 2 hours of placing your order.

After 2 Hours: Once the 2-hour window has passed, the order has likely entered the production phase and cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded.

SECTION 7 - RETURN SHIPPING

Do not return items to the address on the shipping label without prior authorization. Since our products are printed at various facilities globally, returning an item to the wrong address may result in the item being lost. Unsolicited returns will be refused and will not be refunded.
